This bonspiel was first started by Peggy Rotton of the Utica Curling Club, with sponsorship from the USWCA.  The bonspiel is currently restricted to women with 5 years or less of experience and over the age of 21, to promote interaction of women within the GNCC in friendly competition.

This year the Childs will be held at Rochester Curling Club, Rochester, NY.
